We Love "Snoozy Yoga"

James and I have been coming to Carol's class for over two years, and have been delighted with the increased flexibility and stamina that we have gained over that time. Deep relaxation helps the body rebuild itself -- that has been so true for us.

Conceptually, it was surprising to me that getting into these poses of complete relaxation and holding them would bring any results at all. It is slow growth, and I have to remind myself, gosh, I could not do this pose at all last month or last year. I do notice when I miss class that I am more nervous and sleep less well. Guess it has something to do with principle of nonresistance.

I created this blog so supporters of Restorative Yoga can share their experiences about this practice and what it means to them. Originally for the Restorative Yoga class taught by Carol Allison at Gold's Gym in San Mateo, CA, but not limited to it.

Hope to hear from more of you. Individual perspectives make up a wonderful mosaic.

I left a long comment. I guess that it got lost in cyberspace. Anyway, the bottom line is that I deeply appreciate Danine's effort and foresight to set up a blog. We can use this as a forum for information, issues and questions.

Thank you Linda for offering to brainstorm this evening. We can also use this blog for brainstorming. We are all fortunate to have Linda available to teach this evening. I am visiting my Dad and sister in law in NYC. I am traveling with my oldest daughter. I will be back on Friday and will not have access to email until then (dark ages!!)

I appreciate all of your support and hope that we can meet your needs. Namaste and love, Carol
